The term "good" in Good Friday may come from the phrase "God's Friday," or it may simply mean "holy." *Why is it called good Friday?        There are different theories about the origin of the term "Good Friday," but one commonly accepted explanation is that "good" means "holy" or "pious" in this context. Therefore, Good Friday is the day on which Christians remember the holy sacrifice made by Jesus Christ when he was crucified and died for the forgiveness of sins. Jamat Ul-Vida Mubarak, it's celebration, significance and history.

Image
The Jamat Ul-Vida, which began as an independent charity, was reorganized in 1978 by Hamza Mohammad Yar Khan, an influential Islamist leader and supporter of Pakistani President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (1969–77), as the Islamic Political Movement of Pakistan (Jamat Ul-Vida) with Jamat being the main component of the organization. In 1985 Jamat Ul-Vida lost political clout after it lost its headquarter at Karachi and most of its activists were arrested and jailed. By 1986 Jamat Ul-Vida was banned in Pakistan and the leadership of the Jamat Ul-Vida had already been formed into the Jamat Ulema-e Islam (JUI). Today, a number of Islamic political parties in Pakistan claim to be independent foundations of the Jamat Ul-Vida. Since then, Jamat Ul-Vida has operated in Islamic revivalist circles. In 1993 the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI tried to arrest JUI leader Khurram Zaki. As a result, many mosques, madrasahs and religious organizations operated by the Jamat Ul-Vida were raided, their membe...

As he was sitting under the tree eating the food he noticed the moon shining bright, the place was very beautiful and romantic. Pradeep then fell in love with the beauty of that night, in that very moment a rainbow appeared in the sky. He felt joy and was about to express his feelings to Jayanti. As he opened the door to the house she saw the rainbow and was very upset with her husband for entering in the house and ignoring her, as she felt she had lost her beauty in that sudden darkness. World Book Day 2021 - Every day, nearly 2 million people read a book, but 3.4 million read every day but a book. This means that nearly three million people a day are not reading, yet most readers believe that books are still a part of their life and have yet to completely give up reading altogether. A survey commissioned for World Book Day 2021 reveals how much reading means to us all and how we stand by the written word, despite the digital age. Speaking about the importance of books in his autobiography, author Sir Michael Morpurgo said: “If you want to be someone like Mozart, one day, then read books, lots of them. Each step he took in his search for music was new, mysterious, exciting and you follow every step along the way.” It is clear that despite the inevitable advancements in technology and media, books are still valued, and it is vital that we continue to support the writers who create them. The survey of 2,204 readers found that 93% believe reading a book gives you the oppo...

Earth Day | Facts | significance | how you can help Earth | Quotes

Image
Earth Day is in progress, and I believe it’s the perfect time to list what we, the leaders of the Planet Earth, need to do to make the planet green once more. The Earth isn’t the only living being that needs saving. When I read headlines like, “Biotech Food is Going to Ruin the Planet,” I am skeptical. I think people are hopelessly confused about food production and food safety issues. Biotechnology and food quality and safety are absolutely necessary and some day we may have issues with biofuel production, water usage and land usage in the future. But what we should not have to worry about right now is health hazards due to food, especially when we are doing all we can to preserve food as much as possible. For more than 100 years farmers have been breeding crops and animals to improve quality, increase yield and enhance our ability to preserve these items for future generations. Even a simple farmer can figure out what we need to do. Let’s change the conversation and consider wh...

Eid al-Fitr (Eid al-Adha) comes in the middle of Ramadan. According to Islamic teachings, during the second month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Eid-al-Fitr marks the day of the start of the new Islamic lunar calendar. In this month, Muslims celebrate the last ten days of the lunar month of Ramadan, and it is customary for Muslims in their respective countries to fast during this month. Muslims were encouraged to attend the mosque and to wake up early in the morning to break their fast. The Quran (s. 81:1-8) says: "And rejoice in the fact that you will break your fast and have communion with all the believers in the land of the two holy rivers. That is for the mercy of Allah. And prepare for a month's journey, that will bring good tidings, that you may meet each other and deal peacefully with one another, for Allah is well acquainted with what you do." On the morning of Eid, Muslims recite the first five verses of the Holy Quran, which declare the verse: "Every sou...

Ramadan is the holy month of fasting and worship. From dawn to sunset, Muslims around the world abstain from eating and drinking. Many observe a ‘Ramadan fast’ by abstaining from animal products (meats, dairy, or alcohol) and then practicing patience, seeking God in prayer. During the holy month of Ramadan, believers turn to God and pray, seeking to enhance their faith and spirituality. Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam and is a must for every Muslim to practice. Everyone should pray five times a day throughout the holy month, as well as consume extra food before dawn and sleep early in the morning before sun rise. Although Ramadan lasts for about 30 days, there are specific prayers to be said as if the holy month lasts for a year. The entire month of Ramadan is devoted to prayer, and believers recite the Quran (ancient holy book of the religion of Islam) five times daily.
